Kent Bike Fix: Tonbridge

Delivered by Cycling UK & KCC, this event is hosted by Tonbridge Swimming Pool. The session is open to all and run on a first-come first-served basis. Bring your bike along to this FREE event for:

1. Minor repairs
2. Safety checks
3. General cycling advice.

A minor repair may include:
a. Puncture repairs including inner tube changing where necessary
b. Brake pad replacement (subject to stock availability)
c. Brake & gear adjustments
d. Broken cable replacements (brake and gear)
e. Seat & handlebar adjustments
f. Chain reattachment, lubrication and link repairs
g. Removing or adding your own accessories eg lights, child seat, stabilisers etc
h. Safety & cleaning advice, helmet fit and basic bike set up.

Advanced repairs and replacements not covered may include:
a. Full brake or gear overhaul
b. Frame repairs
c. Hydraulic brake servicing/Disc brake decontamination
d. Replacing chains, cassettes, or derailleurs
e. Fixed parts replacement (pedals, wheels, saddle, drivetrain etc)

What about E-bikes?
E-bikes are welcome, however for these events the mechanic will only deal with mechanical issues and adjustments due to the complexity of many e-bike systems requiring specialist repair not suitable for these events.

What’s the cost?

There’s no cost to take part – your place is fully funded by Cycling UK as part of The Big Bike Revival programme.

How we’ll contact you

Only the event organiser and Cycling UK will email you, and for limited reasons.

As you might expect, you’ll receive event reminders and relevant event information. In the weeks after the event, you’ll also be sent two short surveys and four emails with tips to keep you cycling. That’s it.
